Lois talks about a Lutheran pastor who wrote a hymn giving thanks in the face of death. She sings (ack!) this beautiful hymn for you.
Host Lois Matson discusses how the Scripture instructs us to be thankful in all situations, even at the difficult and unexpected death of a loved one. She reads James 1: 2-4, 12 about the testing of our faith and being steadfast under trials. She reads from the Wikipedia page of Martin Rinkart's hymn: "Now Thank We All Our God" at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Now_Thank_We_All_Our_God. After singing the hymn with organ accompaniment, Lois concludes by reading Psalm 100, a psalm of for giving thanks.
